Newmont Mining Corp in line with gold sales predictions

Newmont Mining Corp (NEM) announced on Wednesday that it was in line with its predictions with gold sales in 2008 of approximately 5.2 million ounces.~~

They also announced the acquisition of the rest of the 33.3% stake in the Western Australian state Boddington mine from AngleGold Ashanti Ltd. (ANG)

Boddington is due to start production mid year in 2009 with a capacity for 1 million ounces for the first 5 years.
